Nakheel adopts RMS Queen Elizabeth 2

The flag ship of Cunrad Line and the most popular cruise liner, Queen Elizabeth 2, is due to arrive in Dubai on November 26 crossing seas for good. The Queen Elizabeth 2's maiden voyage set sail on 2nd May 1969 from Southampton to New York City and since then this cruise liner has 25 times circumnavigated the world 25 times has crossed Atlantic more than 800 times and has the pride of sailing with kings, queens, renowned world leaders.Dubai based Nakheel will own QE2 after it arrival and further it will be refurbished before being placed at the specially developed berth on the Palm Jumeriah. Here QE2 will be transformed into a floating hotel, a matter of proud for Dubai Hotels making it a never-miss component for Dubai dwellers and visitors.
Cruising through the time, she holds credit for surviving a 95 ft wave during Hurricane Luis, carrying 3000 troops to the Falklands War and has rescued 500 passengers from a burning ship. She is a record breaker for both speed and endurance, has appeared in countless films and TV shows, videos and attracts multitude to every port she docks in.
