Leading African hotel group Southern Sun is continuing its expansion into the Middle East with the opening of its second innovative and modern four star deluxe property - Qamardeen Hotel.
Located in the prestigious 500-acre Downtown Burj Dubai development, Qamardeen Hotel has opened to full capacity and follows on from the successful launch of Southern Sun’s first hotel Al Manzil, which opened in early January.
Offering over 150 spacious rooms, Qamardeen Hotel is a contemporary architectural property that meets every need of the business and leisure traveller in one of the world’s most spectacular locations.
With the soon to open Old Town Island and Burj Dubai Lake, and attractions such as the Burj Dubai Boulevard and Dubai Mall - the world’s largest mall – Al Manzil and Qamardeen Hotels are within reach of some of Dubai’s most exciting projects.
“Southern Sun is very proud to be a part
of the Downtown Burj Dubai Development and
we are absolutely delighted with the successful
opening of both Al Manzil and Qamardeen Hotels,”
said Richard Weilers, Managing Director, Southern
Sun Middle East. We have over 40 years experience
in providing great hospitality in Africa and
beyond and we are now very much looking forward
to bringing that experience into our hotels
here in Dubai.”
Both hotels will offer complimentary high speed Internet access, a 24-hour business centre, WiFi in public areas and both are in close proximity to the Dubai World Trade Centre, which hosts some of the world’s leading conferences and exhibitions.
”We will continue to offer an unrivalled commitment to providing the very best facilities for the business traveller,” said Mr Weilers.
“Those staying with us for business purposes will be able to operate with complete ease and effectiveness.”
The hotels will both provide plenty of leisure facilities including outdoor swimming pools, fitness centres and all-day dining outlets. Al Manzil Hotel is also connected to a quaint Arabian-style souk.
Al Manzil Hotel has also opened a sports entertainment grill and bar which seats 96 people. Nezesaussi (short for New Zealand, South Africa and Australia) will be Dubai’s newest speciality restaurant and is expected to become the city’s top destination for meals and drinks while watching all the sports action from around the globe.
