Lufthansa German Airlines join hands with a team of top chefs at the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai who have developed an entirely new Arabian Haute cuisine. To celebrate its long lasting tradition in the Middle East and 30 years in Dubai, Lufthansa offers First and Business Class Passengers exclusively designed menus of “New Arabian Cuisine” which is also available at the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai.
Ibrahim Barghout, General Manager of the JW Marriott Dubai stated “The JW Marriott Dubai is positioned as one of the top food and beverage hotels in Dubai where the food and beverage team constantly and continuously stays innovative by introducing new products, promotions and services. The New Arabian Cuisine continues to position the hotel that we deliver the best product and incredible value for money.”
Ingo Maass is a strong proponent of an innovative style of cooking that blends ingredients and aspects of European and Arab culture to create new culinary highlights. That perfectly matches Lufthansa’s long tradition of “bridge building” between the Occident and the Orient, by transporting millions of passengers. “Lufthansa and Ingo Maass share a common desire to attain the highest possible product quality and to seek new and innovative offers for guests on the restaurant ground - or on board our flights,” said Joachim Steinbach, Vice President Sales and Services for South-East Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Pakistan, based in Dubai. “We are proud that he and his team indulge our First and Business Class passengers, from Frankfurt and Munich exclusively to all our destinations in the Arab world”.
“New Arabian Cuisine” was created in multi-cultural Dubai. Two years ago two European chefs (Germany and France) and the Arabian chefs (Egypt and Syria) linked up with photographer and author Lutz Jنkel to create the ‘New Arabian Cuisine’ cookbook which presents a whole new ‘bridge’ of Arabian and European cuisine that previously remained almost entirely untouched, emerging entirely new nuances of flavors and dishes. In the words of German chef, Ingo Maaβ, ‘this novel style of cuisine provides an outstanding opportunity for those lovers of fine food who may be a little hesitant about unfamiliar flavors to acquire a taste for Arabian cuisine.’
All recipes found in The New Arabian Cuisine cookbook can be enjoyed both at the JW Marriott Dubai while for Lufthansa, special dishes have been created and prepared by Ingo, Amgad and the Executive Chefs of LSG SkyChefs, a 100% Lufthansa subsidiary, providing inflight catering for one third of the world market. The cuisine is exclusively created to be served on board all Lufthansa’s Middle Eastern outbound flights plus around 40 destinations in Europe and Magreb.
